Pelvic Power, Neck Pull Progressions & New Classes: June at Lauren’s Vibe Pilates

Welcome to the June edition of the Lauren’s Vibe Pilates blog - - a space where movement meets education, and Pilates comes to life across the Mat, Reformer, Wunda Chair, and beyond.

This month, I’m sharing insights into pelvic stabilization (your body’s secret powerhouse!), upcoming online classes and workshops, and an exciting Balanced Body teaching initiative designed to support students and professionals alike.

🔍 Practice Focus: Dynamic Pelvic Stabilization

Developing dynamic pelvic stabilization is one of the most powerful ways to build functional strength and precision in your Pilates practice. Anatomically, the pelvis acts as a central axis supported by deep core stabilizers like the transversus abdominis, pelvic floor, multifidus, and deep hip rotators. These muscles work together to keep the pelvis both stable and responsive as the body moves through space.

When we train this kind of intelligent control, we’re not just improving technique, we’re laying the foundation for spinal health, efficient movement, and total-body resilience.

Exercises for Pelvic Stabilization:

  • Pre-Pilates: Pelvic Clock, Flat-Back Bridge, Marching & Bridge Marching

  • Mat Pilates: Single Leg Circle, Side-Lying Leg Series, Leg Pull Down & Leg Pull Up

  • Reformer: Single Leg Footwork, Single Leg Bridging, Climb a Tree

  • Chair: Alternating Footwork on Split Pedal, Lunges, Single Leg Hamstring Stretch 3

  • Tower/Trapeze: Parakeet, Magician, Bridging
